DSLRs have been going a long time, and they still have a lot of loyal fans. While it's true that mirrorless cameras are grabbing all the attention these days, many photographers still like the size, grippability, optical viewfinders and battery life of the DSLRs. Canon & Nikon still have strong presence in the DSLR category, so I believe the uniqueness and all-rounded abilities of this lens will make itself popular among DSLR loyal fans.

This lens is totally brand-new optical design different from Mirrorless version of 14mm f/4 FF RL Zero-D, and is designed for DSLR full-frame cameras. It features 115° angle of view with “Zero-Distortion”, which reduces much time on post-editing. The lens is very tiny and light (Canon EF: 320g/Nikon F: 360g) compared with other DSLR lenses with similar focal length. The 14mm f/4 Canon EF mount is chipped to be automatic in aperture. Users can now control the aperture in-camera and record all the metadata in the EXIF. The lens also has a very short minimum focusing distance, i.e. 14.5cm, capable of creating exaggerated perspective and creamy bokeh. 5 bladed aperture renders stunning 10-point sunstars. The lens is also compatible with 67mm filters.

The distance scale is adjustable for users to fine-tune its working distance according to the flange range of their own cameras, and hence a more accurate measurement can be shown on the distance indicator.
