This 8-pack of filters is crafted to deal with nearly any lighting condition Mother Nature can throw at you. The pack includes an ND4, ND8, ND16, ND8/PL, ND16/PL, ND32/PL, ND64/PL, and CPL filter. The ND filters help reduce the amount of light that hits the gimbal's sensor, while the CPL filter helps reduce glare and reflections from appearing in your footage. The ND/PL filters combine the best of both of these worlds and are ideal for days that are cloudy and overcast to days with extremely bright sunlight.

GimbalSafe

The filters in this 8-pack support Freewell's GimbalSafe technology, which ensures they are light enough to not negatively affect your gimbal's movement while in flight.

Multilayer Coatings

Freewell has given each filter multiple layers of protective coatings, which helps make each of them waterproof, dustproof, scratchproof, and oilproof. An additional color-neutral coating helps improve image quality.

ND Filters

The ND, or neutral density, filters are designed to give you the ability to manually manage exposure by reducing the amount of light entering the camera lens. When doing so, this allows you to shoot in wider f-stops under bright lighting conditions. They also help avoid the "Jell-O" effect that can appear due to gimbal vibration.
  • ND4: Reduces the amount of light entering the lens by 2 stops. Ideal for capturing clear footage during cloudy and overcast days.
  • ND8: Reduces the amount of light entering the lens by 3 stops. Ideal choice for days that are slightly cloudy.
  • ND16: Reduces the amount of light entering the lens by 4 stops. Ideal for shooting in normal, bright daylight conditions.

CPL Filter

The CPL, or circular polarizer, filter is mainly designed to reduce scattered light and the appearance of reflections in your images. It can also enhance color and increase the contrast of your footage.

ND/PL Filters

These filters are a hybrid of an ND and PL filter, and designed to provide the best of both worlds. They reduce light from hitting the sensor, minimize glare and reflections, and increase in contrast in your final footage.
  • ND8/PL: Reduces the amount of light entering the lens by 3 stops. Ideal for shooting in partly cloudy conditions where the sun only occasionally shines through the clouds.
  • ND16/PL: Reduces the amount of light entering the lens by 4 stops. Ideal for shooting in bright and sunny conditions.
  • ND32/PL: Reduces the amount of light entering the lens by 5 stops. Ideal for shooting in extremely bright, sunlit conditions.
  • ND64/PL: Reduces the amount of light to the point that it adds a natural blur effect to objects in motion.
