Each mist filter alters your pictures and video by reducing overall contrast, softening the glow of lights, and reducing the sharpness of highlights. At the same time, the neutral density properties of the filters reduce excessive light from reaching the sensor. Conveniently, each filter's ND setting is adjustable, reducing the need to regularly swap filters. One filter offers 1 to 5 stops (ND2 to ND32) of light reduction, while the other provides 6 to 9 stops (ND64 to ND512).

True Color

To allow each filter's neutral density settings to be variable, two polarizers are used. This can cause color shifts, but Freewell applies a true color coating to each to minimize that effect for accurate color representation.

Hard Stop VND

Physical stops at each end of the filter help make ND adjustment easy while avoiding any unwanted vignetting effects.
