Sony DVF-EL1 Electronic Viewfinder

Overview

The Sony DVF-EL1 Electronic Viewfinder expands the monitoring options of the Sony FX5 Cinema Camera with a high quality 0.58" 7.08m-dot OLED display and 0.90x magnification. This detachable EVF mounts directly to the top of the camera via a proprietary port, secured with two 1/4"-20 screws, and offers a wide colour gamut equivalent to DCI-P3 with 10-bit colour support and HDR monitoring. It is designed for filmmakers who need a clear, high contrast view in bright conditions where a rear touchscreen alone isn't practical.

High-Resolution OLED Display

The 0.58" 7.08m-dot OLED panel delivers a wide colour gamut equivalent to DCI-P3 with 10-bit colour support and HDR monitoring, giving filmmakers an accurate, high contrast view for critical focus and exposure work.

Flexible Tilt and Eyepiece Design

• Tilts upwards up to 90° for flexible shooting positions.
• Two shooting modes, Standard and Zoom Out, for enhanced visibility.
• Detachable eyepiece cup can be reversed for left- or right-eyed shooting.
• Removing the cup allows closer viewing, useful for users wearing glasses.

Secure Top-Mounted Attachment

The viewfinder attaches directly to a proprietary connection on the top of the camera and is secured with two 1/4"-20 screws for a stable, reliable mount. A protective cap is included for the terminals and stores inside the viewfinder body when not in use.

Shared Connector Note

Because the viewfinder connector sits close to the Multi Interface Shoe, the DVF-EL1 and the XLR-H2 XLR Handle Unit cannot be used on the camera at the same time.
