Part 3: Godox On-Camera Flash for Weddings & Events
Fast, portable flash that's ready the moment the moment happens, from your first speedlight to a full multi-flash kit. Here's the range decoded, and which to actually buy.
Just want one good flash? The Godox V860III Ving is the workhorse most people should buy: TTL, HSS, fast recycling, and a built-in Li-ion battery that tops up fast over USB-C. Want the newest flagship feel? Step up to the V1 Pro (round head, built-in Li-ion) or the V100, Godox's most powerful on-camera flash yet, with a detachable sub-flash built in.
Shooting on a budget, or want a reliable backup? The TT685 II gets you real TTL flash for the least money, or go even smaller and lighter with the TT350 if size matters more than reach. Just need a small on-camera fill, or an extra head for a multi-flash setup? The iT32 / iT30 Pro mini flash is the one to grab, or the cheaper, manual-only iM20 / iM30 if you don't need TTL.
On-camera flash is built for one thing: keeping up with a moving day. Unlike continuous LED, flash fires its full power in a fraction of a second, so you get far more usable light from a much smaller, lighter unit, exactly what you need shooting a wedding, event or reportage all day on foot. Every flash on this page has both TTL and HSS, so the real decision comes down to job, head shape, battery and power, not features.
Who This Part Is ForAnd who should skip ahead.

This part is for wedding, event and everyday shooters who need flash that's fast, portable and ready the instant you need it. If you mainly shoot video or content, you'll get more use from continuous LED instead: jump to Part 2 (LED for creators). And if you need serious power to shape light or overpower the sun on location or in studio, the AD battery strobes in Part 4 are built for that.
How to ChooseAnswer this first, it'll point you to the right section below.
1. Need An Everyday Flash for Weddings or Events?
On top of the camera, from a budget first flash to a full-power flagship.
2. Just Need a Small Travel or Extra-Head Flash?
Not your main flash, just something compact for travel or to add a light to a multi-flash kit.
3. Shooting Macro or Dental Close-Up Work?
A specialist job with its own specialist gear, not an everyday flash.
On-Camera FlashThe everyday speedlight ladder: round or traditional head, AA or Li-ion, budget to flagship.
Two head shapes to choose between: round (V1 / V1 Pro, V100, both select your mount on the product page) gives softer, more natural catchlights and taps into Godox's round-specific modifiers, the newer, more premium format; traditional (V860III Ving, TT685 II, TT350, all select your mount) fits the huge everyday range of flash modifiers and doesn't cost extra for the head shape. Most wedding and event shooters do fine with traditional. Only the TT685 II and TT350 run on regular AA batteries, cheap and available anywhere if you run out mid-shoot; every other flash here uses a built-in rechargeable Li-ion pack that's lighter to carry and quick to top up over USB-C, but leaves you stuck if it runs flat with no spare nearby. On power: the TT350 is the smallest and lightest option here, a genuine full-size flash shrunk down, at some cost to reach and recycle speed; the TT685 II covers typical on-camera and fill-flash work at a bigger, more powerful size; the V860III Ving steps up for more reach and off-camera multi-flash use; and the V1/V1 Pro and V100 sit at the top, the V100 the most powerful at 100Ws with a detachable sub-flash built in for dual-light setups from one unit.
Godox TT685 II
Full TTL and HSS at the lowest price in the range: everything most people need from an on-camera flash. A smart second body to keep in the bag even after you upgrade.

Godox V860III Ving
Built-in Li-ion battery that recharges fast over USB-C, recycles quickly, and handles everything from fill-flash to full off-camera lighting. The proven workhorse most people should buy.

Godox V1 / V1 Pro
Round head, built-in Li-ion, and the fullest feature set in the range. The choice if you want the best Godox makes and don't mind paying for it.
Shop Godox V1 / V1 Pro (select your mount) →
Godox V100
Godox's most powerful on-camera flash yet at 100Ws output, with the same round head and detachable sub-flash design as the V1 Pro, recycling as fast as 0.8 seconds with the optional external battery pack. The pick if raw power matters more than price.

Godox TT350
A genuine full-power TTL flash shrunk down to fit in a jacket pocket: built-in 2.4GHz wireless, HSS, and 2x AA power, at a lower guide number and slower recycle than the TT685 II. The pick if you want real flash without the bulk.
Shop Godox TT350 (select your mount) →Mini FlashSmall, cheap, and built for travel or an extra head in a kit, not your main flash.
The Godox iT32 / iT30 Pro is small, light and inexpensive: a compact travel flash, an on-camera fill, or an extra head when you're building a multi-flash setup, with an interchangeable trigger mount at the base. Across Godox's mini flashes specifically, iT means TTL and iM means manual-only, though the hardware underneath is largely the same from one to the next (don't confuse this with the unrelated TT-series on-camera flashes above, a different naming split entirely). Godox also sells the iM20, iM30 and a rectangle-shaped iM22, a manual-only family covering the same compact-extra-head job as the iT range for less money if you don't need TTL.
Godox iT32 / iT30 Pro
Small and cheap enough to carry two or three without thinking about it. Not your main flash: the one that makes your main flash's job easier.
Shop Godox iT32 / iT30 Pro →
Godox iM20 / iM30
Fully manual, no TTL, and undercuts the iT32 on price for the same compact-extra-head job. The iM30 is a simple retro-styled manual flash on 2x AAA batteries; the iM20 is a similar square-shaped design with a built-in rechargeable battery instead, for a little more.

Godox Lux Junior / Lux Junior II
The original Lux Junior is about as simple as flash gets: 2x AAA batteries, no electronics, no TTL, just a small, budget-friendly pop of fill light. The newer Lux Junior II keeps the same retro-styled body but adds TTL, wireless control and a built-in rechargeable Li-ion battery, and it's priced the same as the original, so it's a straight upgrade if you want those features in the smallest body Godox makes.
Shop Godox Lux Junior II →Macro & Dental FlashSpecialist heads for close-up work, not an everyday flash.
Two shapes for close-up work, each solving a different lighting problem:
MF-R76 ring flash
Flat, shadowless ring light for macro shots, with 8 adapter rings included so it fits most lens sizes across Canon, Nikon, Sony and more.
Shop Godox MF-R76 →
MF-T76 twin flash
More directional shadow control than a ring light, for technical and dental photography.

Whatever you pick, every Godox flash here speaks the same 2.4GHz wireless language as the battery strobes and many LED lights, so you can start with one flash and grow into a full kit, all from the same trigger. If you'll only ever run one flash on-camera, any of these works on its own; building an off-camera, multi-flash setup means adding an X-series trigger and, often, an iT32 as a cheap extra head. See Part 6.
