Overview

The SmallRig 6965 Cage for Insta360 X6 is a full-metal cage that protects the camera body while supporting a wide range of accessory mounting options. Paired with the included silicone lens protector, it adds extra protection for the camera's protruding panoramic lens during storage and transport, helping guard against scratches and accidental damage. Made from aluminum alloy with inner silicone padding, the cage weighs just 60 g on its own, keeping the setup lightweight without sacrificing durability.

Flip-Out Top Stand

A flip-out top stand lets the camera rest securely on a tabletop between shots, while also helping keep the lens protected from scratches when the camera isn't in your hand.

Magnetic Quick Release and Multiple Mounting Points

A magnetic quick release mount and a 1/4"-20 threaded hole on the bottom support a tripod or selfie stick and allow quick switching between horizontal and vertical shooting. A cold shoe mount on the left side holds accessories such as a microphone or LED light, while a 1/4"-20 locating hole on the right side works with a selfie stick or magic arm.

Pogo Pin Accessory Support

Built-in pogo pin contacts on the bottom let compatible accessories, such as a charging handle or base, connect directly without removing the cage, reducing the need to repeatedly plug and unplug cables during extended shooting.

Wind Noise Reduction Foam

Built-in foam on both sides of the cage helps reduce wind noise during high-speed riding and in strong wind conditions, contributing to clearer audio recording outdoors.

Battery Access Without Removing the Cage

A cutout in the frame allows battery replacement without needing to take the cage off the camera, and inner silicone pads help prevent scratches on the camera body during regular use.
