Overview

Full-sized and full-featured, the Nikon PROSTAFF P7 10x42 Binoculars deliver crisp views built to stand up to the rigors of travel and trekking. The 10x magnification brings distant detail in close, and the 42mm objective lenses gather plenty of light for a bright view. A closed-bridge, fibreglass-reinforced polycarbonate chassis keeps the body tough yet manageable, and the binocular is nitrogen filled and sealed against water and fog for confident use outdoors.

Antireflective Lenses with Dielectric Prisms

Multilayer antireflective lens coatings cut glare and reflection for sharper, clearer views, while phase-correction coating on the roof prisms adds definition and detail. Nikon's dielectric high-reflective multilayer prism coating maximises light transmission for brighter, more accurate colour, and the glass itself is lead-free and arsenic-free.

Locking Diopter Adjustment

A locking diopter ring, often reserved for higher-end binoculars, lets you set a customised focus offset between your eyes and lock it in place, which is especially handy when the binoculars are shared between users.

Waterproof & Fogproof Construction

The PROSTAFF P7 10x42 is filled with bone-dry nitrogen gas and sealed to keep moisture out, so the lenses stay fog-free even moving from a warm car into cold winter air. It is also waterproof to 1 m, so it can be used confidently around splashing water or in wet weather, though it is not designed for underwater use.

Comfortable All-Day Viewing

15.7mm of eye relief means both eyeglass wearers and naked-eye users can find a clear, comfortable viewing position, aided by turn-and-slide eyecups that retract for glasses or extend for everyone else. A non-stick, oil- and water-repellent coating on the objective and eyepiece lenses makes it easy to wipe away moisture, fingerprints, and smudges between uses.

Durable Polycarbonate Body

A closed-bridge chassis in strong, fibreglass-reinforced polycarbonate keeps the binoculars lightweight without sacrificing toughness, and the green rubber-armored exterior provides a secure, nonslip grip along with protection from bumps and knocks. A large center focusing knob makes it quick to dial in a sharp view with one hand.
