The Blackmagic Design URSA Live Encoder is a dedicated live encoding module designed for the Blackmagic URSA Cine Immersive 100G. Sliding directly into the camera’s media module slot, it enables live video data from the URSA Cine Immersive 100G to be encoded into ProRes for output as SMPTE 2110 IP video, making it a specialized solution for immersive live production workflows that require high-bandwidth IP delivery.

By compressing live video to an approximate data rate of 46 Gb/s, the URSA Live Encoder makes it possible to transmit up to two camera feeds reliably over a single 100G Ethernet link.
