Its four 1/4"-20 threads with anti-twist pin slots suit compact rigs with SSDs, LED lights or microphones.

It gives you a solid way to mount the phone on a tripod, gimbal or camera rig. With a ProCase, the total comes to six 1/4"-20 threads, which gives cage-like flexibility without the bulk.
