Overview

The DJI Mic Mini 2S Clip-On Transmitter with Built-In Microphone is an additional transmitter for expanding an existing DJI Mic Mini 2S system, or for starting fresh as a standalone wireless mic and voice recorder. A single receiver can pair with up to four Mic Mini 2S transmitters at once, making this a straightforward way to add a second, third, or fourth person to an interview or podcast setup. On its own, the transmitter also works as a Bluetooth microphone straight to a smartphone, or as a pocket voice recorder with 32-bit float internal recording and up to 28 hours of onboard storage.

32-Bit Float Internal Recording

32-bit float internal recording captures a vast dynamic range on the transmitter itself, reducing the need for constant gain adjustments during a shoot. Even in chaotic recording conditions, audio can be recovered in post-production without clipping or loss, keeping every take usable. Internal recordings can be saved as the original track or an algorithm-enhanced version, whichever suits your editing workflow.

28-Hour Internal Storage

The transmitter's approximately 14.5GB of onboard storage holds up to 28 hours of loop recording, so a dropped wireless connection never means lost audio, and recording can be set to start automatically as soon as the transmitter powers on. This two-in-one design means the transmitter doubles as a standalone voice recorder for interviews, class notes, or any moment worth capturing without pairing it to a receiver at all.

Two-Level AI Noise Canceling

DJI's proprietary noise-canceling AI model precisely isolates and suppresses ambient noise in real time, so vocals come through with clear transparency and detail. The included windscreen reduces wind and handling noise further, keeping audio crisp for outdoor vlogging, live streaming, or any noisy environment.

Adaptive Gain & Voice Tone Presets

Two adaptive gain modes keep volume balanced without manual adjustment: Clipping Control attenuates sudden spikes to protect audio in unpredictable environments like racetracks, while Loudness Balance dynamically adjusts gain to keep interviews and live streams sounding consistent. Three voice tone presets let you shape the sound to match your style:

• Regular mode delivers clean, natural, and balanced audio.
• Rich mode adds emphasis on the lows for a fuller, more powerful sound.
• Bright mode highlights the highs for extra clarity and sparkle.

Lightweight Magnetic Wearable Design

At approximately 12 g, the transmitter mounts via magnet or clip and wears like an unobtrusive lavalier microphone. The detachable clip rotates fully, so it can be mounted sideways or upside down to keep audio pickup aligned no matter how it's worn. Beyond the included Glaze White and Obsidian Black covers, additional magnetic front covers let you personalize the transmitter's look or blend it into a shot.

4TX + 1RX Cross-Gen Connectivity

A single receiver can pair with up to four Mic Mini 2S transmitters at once, so this transmitter is an easy way to add a second, third, or fourth person to an existing setup. Mic Mini, Mic Mini 2, and Mic Mini 2S transmitters and receivers all support mix and match, and this transmitter also connects directly to the DJI Mic Series Mobile Receiver.

Bluetooth Direct-to-Phone Recording

The transmitter also works as a standalone Bluetooth microphone, connecting directly to a smartphone for recording or live streaming apps without the receiver at all. Settings and firmware updates are managed through the DJI Mimo app.

Instant Reconnection with Paired Devices

Each transmitter stores pairing data for up to two receivers and one compatible Osmo camera, so previously paired devices reconnect automatically. This lets creators swap between devices quickly without interrupting a shoot.

Transmission Range & Battery Life

Transmission range reaches up to 400 m when paired with a standard Mic Mini 2S receiver, or up to 300 m when paired with the mobile receiver. The transmitter runs for up to 11 hours on a single charge, recharging via USB-C in approximately 70 minutes.
