Godox A2 Smartphone Xenon Flash (White)

Overview

The Godox A2 Smartphone Xenon Flash is a palm-sized magnetic flash and LED light that brings real flash power to phone photography and video. Its short xenon burst brightens close-range portraits, lifts backlit subjects and helps freeze movement, while the built-in bi-colour LED gives you a continuous light for video and low-light shots.

It connects to your phone over Bluetooth for TTL and manual control, and its dual-sided magnetic design lets it sit on the back of the phone, on a metal surface or on a stand. It suits phone shooters, vloggers and content creators who want better light without carrying a full flash kit, and it comes in four colours.

Flash Power & Sync

With a guide number of about 15 at ISO 100 (in metres), the xenon flash is built for subjects within about 2 m and manages roughly 400 full-power flashes, recycling in around 2 seconds. Output can be set from 1/128 to 1/1 power in 1/3-stop steps, and high-speed sync up to 1/8000 s lets you balance a face against a sunlit scene or keep fast movement sharp.

Bi-Colour LED Light

The LED side covers a warm to cool range, with four button presets and finer control from the app, plus brightness adjustment in 1% steps. A CRI and TLCI of 96 or higher keeps skin tones natural for portraits and video. At full brightness the built-in rechargeable battery lasts about an hour, and the light turns itself off after 30 minutes of continuous use and can simply be switched back on.

Godox Camera App

The Godox Camera app uses Godox's TTL know-how to keep exposure simple in Auto mode, with Natural, Even and Contrast flash effects to try. Manual mode gives you control of shutter speed and flash output. Bluetooth with NFC-assisted setup lets you adjust the flash and LED wirelessly, on or off the camera, from up to 15 m away.
