Overview
The Tilta Nucleus-M II Handwheel Kit is an advanced four-channel wireless lens control system designed for professional cinema productions requiring precise focus, iris, zoom, and variable ND control. Building upon the original Nucleus-M ecosystem, the updated Nucleus-M II introduces improved wireless reliability, enhanced motor performance, updated PID algorithms, a larger touchscreen display, and expanded compatibility with both Tilta and DJI workflows.
Designed for handheld, gimbal, drone, studio, and dolly configurations, the system combines a powerful FIZ handwheel controller with a redesigned lens motor, interchangeable rod mounts, electronic marking disk, and professional mounting accessories. With support for up to four control channels, customizable presets, electronic focus mapping, and Sony L-series battery compatibility, the Nucleus-M II delivers a highly adaptable solution for solo operators and full focus-pulling teams alike.

Enhanced Handwheel Controller
The Nucleus-M II handwheel controller features a larger 2.4" color touchscreen that provides quick access to focus, iris, zoom, ISO, white balance, shutter speed, and additional camera settings. Operators can monitor lens information in multiple locations while using the wheel, rocker, slider, and dial controls for precise multi-axis adjustments. Adjustable tension settings and built-in lens mapping further enhance tactile control and customization.
Electronic Focus Marking System
The included electronic focus marking disk enables accurate focus pulling in low-light environments where traditional physical markings may be difficult to see. Users can quickly switch between the electronic disk and traditional physical focus marking disks depending on shooting preferences and production requirements.
Redesigned Lens Motor Performance
The updated Nucleus-M II motor delivers smoother operation, improved torque response, and a more streamlined interface while maintaining a compact form factor suitable for gimbals, drones, handheld rigs, and stabilized systems. Color-coded LED indicators simplify channel assignment and system monitoring, while the modular motor design allows quick gear replacement and simplified rigging.
Advanced Wireless Control
Updated PID 2.0 algorithms deliver rapid 0.02-second response times with smooth, delay-free adjustments for critical focus pulling work. More robust wireless channels improve signal stability and reliability in demanding production environments, helping operators maintain precise lens control even during complex handheld or remote shooting scenarios.
Expanded Ecosystem Compatibility
The Nucleus-M II integrates seamlessly with both Tilta and DJI ecosystems. It supports first-generation Nucleus-M motors, Nucleus Nano motors, and DJI RS stabilizer workflows using the built-in DJI RS protocol. Users can directly control compatible DJI lens motors via supported DJI RS gimbals while maintaining compatibility with existing Tilta lens control setups.
Flexible Professional Configuration
The detachable handwheel and thumb module allow operators to configure the system for left- or right-handed operation depending on shooting style and rig layout. Optional ergonomic handgrips further expand setup possibilities for top-handle, handheld, and stabilizer-mounted operation. Additional mounting accessories such as baby pins and monitor brackets can be used to integrate the system into C-stands, camera carts, and larger studio configurations.
Preset Storage and Protection
The handwheel controller supports storage for up to 128 lens data presets, allowing operators to quickly recall calibrated settings between lenses and shooting configurations. Integrated power-loss protection preserves MARK point and RANG memory data even after unexpected shutdowns or battery changes.
