Swit LB-SU98 Battery Overview

SWIT LB-SU98 rechargeable battery similar to Sony BP-U90, compatible with SONY PXW-Z280 / Z190 / X280 / X160, FS7 / FS5 camcorders. Not compatible with SONY EX1 / EX3 and F3 camcorders.

 

Large capacity 98Wh / 6.8Ah

At a rated voltage of 14.4V, the LB-SU98 capacity is 98Wh / 6.8Ah, which allows the SONY PXW-Z190 camcorder to work up to 3 hours with the LCD monitor on.

 

Peripheral D-tap Connector

At the top end of the LB-SU98 battery is a D-tap connector with an output voltage of 14.4V (nominal). You can connect an on-camera LED light, a control monitor or a wireless video transmission system. The maximum output power at the contacts of the connector is 70W / 5A. In addition, the D-tap connector can be used in conjunction with a portable charger SWIT PC-U130B / B2 to charge battery cells.

 

USB 5V / 1A

Use the LB-SU98 as a charging station for mobile devices! This is a useful option built into the DV battery. Connect your smartphone or tablet to the USB connector, press the “Check” button on the battery and the LB-SU98 will charge the connected device!

 

Charge status indicator

The LB-SU98 battery has 4 LED indicators for checking the residual charge capacity of the cells. Before using the battery, you can always assess the state of its charge by pressing the “Check” button.

 

Battery charge

The LB-SU98 can be charged from the S-3602U dual-channel charger manufactured by SWIT. The battery charge time to 100% capacity when using the S-3602U is 4 hours 20 minutes. In the case of using the portable charging device SWIT PC-U130B / B2, the charging time of the S-8U95 will be 2 hours 50 minutes.
