Panasonic Firmware Update
Panasonic S5II & S5IIX Firmware Update Panasonic has just announced a new firmware update for their LUMIX S5II (3.0) and S5IIX (2.0). It is packed with new features designed to streamline workflows for shooters. Adobe Camera-to-Cloud integration headlines the release. Proxy recording also arrives on the LUMIX S5II and S5IIX. Panasonic also included improvements to autofocus, image stabilization, and pre-record burst shooting.
The new key features include:
- Camera to cloud integration with Adobe’s Frame.io – now supports Adobe Camera to Cloud compatibility, enabling images and videos to be automatically uploaded, backed up, shared, and worked on jointly via the cloud.
- Proxy Video Recording – this innovative feature introduces the simultaneous recording of a low bit-rate proxy file alongside the original video recording, providing quick post-production processes.
- Enhanced Real-time Autofocus Recognition– this newly improved system boosts the precise Phase Hybrid autofocus, efficiently recognising not only people, but animal eyes, car and motorcycles.
- Enhanced E.I.S. Performance – with the additionalHigh mode added to E-Stabilization (Video) function, it’s now possible to achieve even more stable footage when shooting on the move.
- SH Pre-Burst Shooting – this shooting function records bursts before shooting even begins.
