The M11-05 series umbrella/flash holders is Meking’s solution for using umbrellas with speedlites/on-camera flashes. The holder sits on top of a light stand (standard 5/8” socket) and allows for your light to be mounted on either the shoe mount, the 1/4” screw thread, or the 3/8” screw thread on top.
A hole in through the center of the holder allows the handles of umbrellas to be inserted to be used with the flash. The umbrella is locked in place via a knob which tightens a screw onto the handle.
The M11-050A comes with the 1/4” and 3/8” screw thread on the top via a reversible spigot.
It is a sturdy, well thought out piece of grip equipment that allows you mount a light and umbrella on stands up to 5/8" diameter.
The tilt handle is a ratcheting type that allows you to reposition it as you tighten it down - a very handy feature in restricted spaces.
The removable spigot can be screwed into a flash with a female 1/4" or 3/8" screw mount. The studs are tightened down with a large sliding T-handle while the swivel tightens onto the stand with a large knob.
The Swivel Adaptor's umbrella receptacle will accept 7mm and 8mm umbrella shafts.
The bracket also tilts and swivels to make aiming the light or flash easy.
The M11-051 comes with a regular shoe mount on the top.
The M11-053 comes with a regular shoe mount on top with the addition of a ball head allowing you to adjust the angle of your flash more freely.
