SmallRig Black Mamba Cage for R5 II Overview

The SmallRig 4975 Black Mamba Cage for Canon EOS R5 Mark II is meticulously crafted to offer comprehensive protection and a variety of expansion options for your camera. Featuring a secure locking mechanism with a bottom 1/4"-20 screw and two side locating blocks, this cage includes integrated silicone pads to prevent scratches on your camera while maintaining the iconic "Black Mamba" style. It allows full access to all camera buttons and interfaces.

Versatile Accessory Mounting

The cage includes multiple 1/4"-20 and ARRI 3/8"-16 threaded holes for attaching various accessories such as side handles (ID2093, 4346), magic arms (ID3874, 3875), monitor mounts (ID2904B), Manfrotto baseplates (ID1280, 2458), and L-shaped mount plate kits (IDMD4360). The top section features ARRI locating holes for top handles (ID3765), quick-release top handles (ID4483), and monitor mounts (ID2903B). It also incorporates a cold shoe mount for microphones and lighting accessories.

Innovative Strap and QD Interface

The cage includes standard strap slots for wrist straps (ID3848, 2456), an innovative strap slot for downward hanging to protect your lens, and a QD interface compatible with QD quick-release shoulder straps (ID4118).

Arca-Swiss Quick-Release Baseplate

The Arca-Swiss quick-release baseplate allows for direct mounting on Arca-type tripods (ID4060, 4353) and DJI RS 2 / RSC 2 / RS 3 / RS 3 Pro / RS 4 / RS 4 Pro stabilizers, facilitating swift transitions between stabilizer, handheld, and tripod setups. Additionally, a magnetic dual head wrench at the bottom makes assembly and disassembly easy.

Durable Screen Protector

The cage includes a scratch-resistant tempered glass screen protector with a surface hardness of 9H and an IK03 impact resistance test rating.

Note

Remove the side locating blocks on both sides of the cage before mounting. The tempered glass screen protector is intentionally designed to be slightly smaller than the screen edges to prevent dust from entering through larger gaps, which is a normal design feature.
