SmallRig HawkLock Cage for Canon R5 II Overview

The SmallRig 4977 HawkLock Quick Release Cage is expertly designed for the Canon EOS R5 Mark II, offering comprehensive protection and versatile expansion options. The cage secures your camera with a single 1/4"-20 screw at the base and two side locating blocks, which are equipped with built-in silicone pads to prevent scratches.

Unobstructed Access

The cage ensures full access to the camera’s buttons, slots, screen, battery compartment, and other interfaces. Its design does not hinder camera functionality or accessibility.

HawkLock Quick-Release System

Featuring a built-in HawkLock quick-release structure, the cage allows for one-touch secure attachment with a self-locking mechanism, eliminating the need for additional reinforcement. Its bi-directional mounting design supports flexible installation orientation.

Accessory Mounting Options

The top and sides of the cage are equipped with H21 NATO rails for quick attachment of accessories such as top handles (ID4483,3766), monitor mounts (ID2904B), and magic arms (ID3874). It also includes multiple 1/4"-20 threaded and locating holes for side handles (ID2093,4346) and other accessories. Dual horizontal 1/4"-20 threaded holes on the right side allow for tripod attachment (ID3989), enhancing stability during vertical shooting.

Strap and Quick-Release Features

The cage includes ordinary strap slots compatible with wrist straps (ID3848,2456) and an innovative downward hanging strap slot for additional lens protection. It also features a QD interface compatible with QD quick-release shoulder straps (ID4118).

Arca-Swiss Quick-Release Baseplate

The Arca-Swiss quick-release baseplate enables direct mounting on Arca-type tripods (ID4060,4353) and DJI stabilizers (RS 2 / RSC 2 / RS 3 / RS 3 Pro / RS 4 / RS 4 Pro), facilitating quick transitions between stabilizer, handheld, and tripod setups.

Magnetic Dual Head Wrench

A magnetic dual head wrench is integrated at the bottom of the cage for convenient assembly and disassembly.

Durable Screen Protector

The cage includes a scratch-resistant tempered glass screen protector with a surface hardness of 9H and an IK03 impact resistance rating, ensuring added protection for your camera’s screen.

Note

• Remove the side locating blocks before mounting the cage.
• The tempered glass screen protector is designed slightly smaller than the screen edges to prevent dust ingress, which is a normal design feature.
