SmallRig L-Shape Mount Plate for R5 II Overview

The SmallRig 4983 L-Shape Mount Plate is designed to facilitate quick switching between landscape and portrait orientations while enhancing camera grip for the Canon EOS R5 Mark II. This mount plate secures firmly with a 1/4"-20 screw at the base and two locating blocks on the sides, incorporating built-in silicone pads to prevent scratches on your camera.

Vertical Shooting Stabilization

In vertical shooting scenarios, the included locating block with a cold shoe mount stabilizes the center of the frame, preventing image displacement due to side panel deformation. It accommodates cold shoe accessories such as microphones (ID3487), video lights (ID3286B), transmitters, and flashes for versatile shooting.

Adjustable Side Panel

The side panel extends by 22.5mm (0.9in) for cable management and adjusts front and back by 7.8mm (0.3in) without obstructing HDMI, microphone, or other interfaces. It allows the screen to rotate approximately 100° front and back, maintaining access to the camera’s buttons, battery compartment, and card slot.

Expansion Interfaces

Featuring multiple expansion interfaces, including 1/4"-20 threaded holes, QD interface, cold shoe mounts, and strap slots, the mount plate supports various accessories like QD shoulder straps (ID4118), microphones (ID3468), and tripods (ID3989,4353), catering to diverse shooting needs.

Arca-Swiss Quick-Release Baseplate

The Arca-Swiss quick-release baseplate enables direct mounting on Arca-type tripods (ID4060,4353) and DJI RS 2 / RSC 2 / RS 3 / RS 3 Pro / RS 4 / RS 4 Pro stabilizers, allowing swift transitions between stabilizer, handheld, and tripod setups. A magnetic dual head wrench at the bottom facilitates easy assembly and disassembly.

Durable Screen Protector

The mount plate comes with a scratch-resistant tempered glass screen protector featuring a surface hardness of 9H and an IK03 impact resistance rating, providing additional protection for your camera's screen.

Note

The tempered glass screen protector is designed slightly smaller than the screen edges to prevent dust ingress, which is a normal design feature.
