Trusted technology for continuous power

Like all our batteries in this range, SR44 uses silver oxide as the cathode or positive electrode, zinc as the anode or negative electrode and an alkaline electrolyte. Compared to other batteries, a silver oxide battery has a higher open circuit potential (1,55V). It also has a flatter discharge curve than a standard alkaline battery. Panasonic launched the production of Silver Oxide batteries in Japan back in 1976.

Applications

You can use them in digital watches, bike computers, heart rate monitors for athletes: typical applications where a stable operating voltage and a high-energy density are required. Other devices include laser pens, calculators and digital clocks.

Superior silver

A large capacity and a continuous high power supply till the end of its life cycle distingue the Panasonic SR44. The use of silver results in a higher price compared with other button cells or coin type batteries. However, the long life (twice the capacity of an alkaline button cell) and stability of SR44 make it a great choice.
