Overview

The PORTKEYS BM5IV WR 5.5" HDMI/SDI Touchscreen Monitor with Camera Control provides both wired and wireless camera control for precise monitoring and focus, whether shooting on location or in a studio. This ultrabright 2000 cd/m² monitor features a wide color gamut, durable aluminum construction, and HDMI/3G-SDI input and output. It supports HDMI/SDI signal conversion and can output 3D LUTs via SDI. Wired control is available for select RED, Sony, Blackmagic, Canon, Panasonic, and Z CAM cameras, as well as Tilta Nucleus-M wireless lens motors. Wireless 2.4 GHz signals allow control of select RED, ARRI, Nikon, Sony, Canon, and Panasonic cameras.

Flexible Color Controls

The BM5IV WR uses three color gamuts to accurately calibrate your image: 100% REC.709, 85% P3-DCI, and 85% P3-D65. You can manually select Log mode, toggle Log false color, and choose from 77 custom false colors across 15 segments. The monitor is factory-calibrated and allows creation of a 3D calibration LUT with an X-Rite color probe for advanced color workflows.

CINEFORM OS

CINEFORM OS powers the monitor and allows configuration to suit your workflow. Import two sets of custom color calibration files, create seven custom control pages, and save them to a micro-USB drive for use on another monitor to streamline multi-monitor setups.

Dual-Screen Monitoring

View multiple camera signals simultaneously using HDMI and SDI inputs. Dual-screen configurations include horizontal/vertical crop, picture-in-picture, dual vertical, dual horizontal, and vertical/horizontal split views.

Connectivity

The BM5IV WR includes HDMI input/output, SDI input/output, USB-A for 3D LUT uploads and firmware updates, and a 3.5mm audio output. HDMI supports up to 4K60 video, SDI supports up to 1080p60 video, providing versatile monitoring and signal conversion options.

Wired Camera & Motor Control

A micro-USB remote connection enables wired camera control for select RED, Sony, Blackmagic, Canon, Panasonic, and Z CAM models. It also integrates with Tilta Nucleus N/M wireless focus systems via UART port for calibration and limit settings.

Wireless Control

An included 2.4 GHz antenna enables wireless control for select RED, Sony, Canon, Panasonic, Nikon, and ARRI cameras. The monitor supports touch-to-focus for RED KOMODO/V-RAPTOR and select Sony models, and zoom adjustment on compatible cameras.

Multiple Power Options

Power the monitor via the 2-pin LEMO port, 4-pin D-Tap interface, or the built-in NP-F battery plate, providing flexible options for studio or field use.

Robust Design

Durable aluminum alloy construction ensures the monitor withstands the rigors of production. The integrated fan can switch to low-noise mode during recording to minimize audio interference.

Multi-Brand Camera Control within 50m

With built-in wireless control, the BM5IV WR can manage up to four monitors within 50 meters, providing stable, fast touch focus and parameter adjustment across multiple camera brands.

LOG Stops

LOG signals are automatically identified and divided into multiple exposure zones based on camera STOP data. Exposure is visualized via percentage histograms, zebra patterns, and false color, supporting up to 19 levels. Each zone is customizable for precise exposure monitoring.

Auto-Adaptive LOG Stops (Sony Only)

When connected to a Sony camera, the monitor detects the LOG profile automatically and loads matched exposure data, reducing manual setup and improving efficiency.

Touch Focus

Tap the screen to set focus quickly and intuitively, allowing fast focus transitions between subjects. Supports select RED, Canon, Panasonic, and Sony cameras.

Touch Focus with Tracking Frame

The monitor displays a focus frame and enables tracking focus mode for compatible cameras. The frame follows moving subjects for precise focus and reduced out-of-focus shots. Available on select Sony cameras.

ND Filter Control

Direct control of built-in ND filters allows quick exposure adjustments. Supported cameras include ARRI-MINI, Canon C400, Canon C80, Sony FX6, and Sony Z380.
