Sennheiser Profile Wireless Transmitter Overview

The Sennheiser Profile Clip-On Wireless Transmitter/Recorder features both a built-in microphone and onboard recording capabilities for seamless backup. The transmitter utilizes 2.4 GHz digital technology to communicate with the Profile dual-channel receiver (available separately) at a line-of-sight distance up to 240m.

Built-In Microphone and External Mic Input

The built-in electret-condenser mic capsule features an omnidirectional polar pattern that picks up sound in a 360° radius around the mic, providing a variety of placement options and helping to ensure consistent levels, even if the talent turns away from the mic. If you prefer an even lower-profile appearance, plug a separately available lavalier mic equipped with a locking 3.5mm Sennheiser connector into the external microphone input.

Onboard Recording and Rechargeable Battery

Onboard recording is facilitated by the transmitter's internal 16GB storage capacity, providing up to 30 hours of recorded audio. Recording can be started/stopped at the mic or remotely from the receiver. In addition, you can activate the unit's Backup Recording Mode, which will automatically turn on the backup recording if the wireless signal becomes weak. The built-in rechargeable battery operates for up to 7 hours at a time and can be recharged via a USB-C cable or the separately available Profile charging bar.
