Capture Hydrogen-Alpha Wavelengths
The camera’s unique IR-cut filter in front of the sensor ensures 100% transmission of Hα wavelengths. Coupled with the TruePix X processor, this allows accurate rendering of shapes, details, and colors of stars, nebulae, and other astrophotography subjects.
Image Stacking and High Res Shot Mode
High Res Shot mode combines multiple frames into a single high-resolution image. Handheld High Res Shot mode composites 12 sequential images into a 50MP photo, correcting for star motion, reducing noise, and improving detail—even when using a tripod or equatorial mount.

Building on the flagship OM-3, the ASTRO variant incorporates the 20MP Stacked BSI Live MOS sensor, TruePix X engine, and 1053 AF points from the OM-1 Mark II, ensuring high performance, creative flexibility, and robust video capabilities.

The OM-3 ASTRO combines classic SLR design with modern computational tools. Traditional dials are repurposed for creative profiles, while intuitive buttons control Live ND, GND, focus stacking, and other advanced photography features. Users can easily capture complex light trails or detailed macro compositions.
5-Axis Image Stabilization
OM SYSTEM’s 5-axis stabilization provides up to 6.5 stops at the center and 5.5 stops at the corner, with Sync IS delivering up to 7.5 stops, ensuring sharp, blur-free images in both still and astrophotography applications.
