Zacuto 3.2" Adhesive Frame for Z-Finder Viewfinder

Overview

The Zacuto 3.2" Adhesive Frame for Z-Finder Viewfinder lets you snap a Zacuto Z-Finder Viewfinder quickly on and off a 3.2" LCD, such as those found on Canon's 5D Mark III and 1DX or Nikon's D800 and D4. The frame attaches around the LCD using a one-time adhesive, after which you can snap the Z-Finder on and off as many times as you like, and it's compatible with every Z-Finder Zacuto makes. The frame can be removed from your camera at any time, though its adhesive will not survive reuse.

Quick-Release Instead of Thumbscrews

A standard Z-Finder normally attaches with a thumbscrew system that needs to be screwed and unscrewed each time, but this frame replaces that with a quick-release snap-on system instead. If you run several cameras with 3.2" LCDs, you can fit each one with its own frame and move a single Z-Finder between them in seconds.

Included Extender Frame

The frame ships with a matching extender, the same type included with a Z-Finder, which attaches to the Z-Finder so it can snap onto the adhesive frame on your camera. Both the frame and extender are made of durable plastic.

Nikon D800 Note

D800 owners should note that the dial near the camera's screen can interfere with the frame, so Nikon advises using the D800's included clear screen protector (part BM-12) and only applying the top and bottom adhesive strips, leaving the side backing in place so the exposed glue underneath doesn't collect dirt and lint. The frame is scored and marked to guide you through this installation.
