Overview

The PORTKEYS BM7 II DS 7" High-Bright Monitor with Wireless Camera Control provides a 1920 x 1080 on-camera display with ultra-bright 2200 cd/m² brightness, a 1000:1 contrast ratio, and a 170°/170° viewing angle. Designed for outdoor and indoor use, it enables remote camera and lens motor control via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or optional cable connections depending on the camera model. It also supports Tilta Nucleus M/N lens motor control.

Connectivity & Signal Support

The BM7 II DS features one 3G-SDI input, one 3G-SDI output, one HDMI input, one HDMI output, a USB-A port for 3D LUTs or firmware upgrades, and a 3.5mm headphone output. It provides 3G-SDI to HDMI cross conversion and supports 1080p video monitoring with accurate color and contrast reproduction.

Integrated Image Tools

Built-in monitoring tools include waveform, histogram, focus peaking, false color, selectable aspect ratios, image flip, and cross conversion between SDI and HDMI. These tools provide professional-level monitoring for precise exposure, color, and composition evaluation.

Camera & Lens Control

Remote control is available for select RED, Sony, Canon, Panasonic, Blackmagic, and Z CAM cameras using Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or wired connections. It also supports Tilta Nucleus N/M lens motors for accurate focus control directly from the monitor.

Power & Mounting

The monitor can be powered via dual Sony L-series battery plates or the included D-Tap DC cable. Its aluminum frame provides durability on set, while four 1/4"-20 threads allow flexible mounting from multiple angles.

Multi-Brand Camera Control within 50m

Using built-in wireless control, a single BM7 II DS can manage up to four monitors within 50 meters. This allows stable and fast touch focus and parameter adjustments across multiple camera brands.

LOG Stops

The monitor automatically identifies LOG signals based on camera STOP data and divides them into multiple exposure zones. Exposure is visualized with percentage histograms, zebra patterns, and false color, supporting up to 19 exposure levels. Each zone can be customized for accurate monitoring.

Auto-Adaptive LOG Stops (Sony Only)

When connected to a Sony camera, the monitor detects the LOG profile automatically and loads matched exposure data for improved efficiency and reduced manual setup.

Touch Focus

Tap the screen to quickly set focus, allowing fast subject-to-subject focus shifts. Supported on select RED, Canon, Panasonic, and Sony cameras.

Touch Focus with Tracking Frame

The monitor displays a focus frame and enables tracking focus mode for compatible cameras. The frame follows moving subjects automatically to ensure precise focus and reduce out-of-focus shots. Available on select Sony cameras.

ND Filter Control

Direct ND filter control allows quick exposure adjustments. Supported cameras include ARRI-MINI, Canon C400, Canon C80, Sony FX6, and Sony Z380.
