Overview

Expand the capabilities of your Panasonic Lumix mirrorless camera with this Camera Cage Kit from SmallRig. Designed to securely mount onto the camera body, it provides a protective structure to attach all kinds of accessories via its 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads, two NATO rails on top and side, and two cold shoe mounts. Its three-point locking design prevents the camera from moving or twisting inside the cage. The included HawkLock H21 Quick Release Top Handle provides two additional cold shoe mounts, two H21 NATO rails, and multiple 1/4"-20 female threads, while the HDMI and USB-C clamp secures the important cables to the camera's side, preventing accidental disconnects during shooting.

On-the-fly swaps from a tripod to a motorized gimbal or shoulder rig happen via the integrated Arca-type quick release base, and you can also utilize the quick disconnect (QD) socket as well as the 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads on the bottom. The lightweight and durable aluminum cage kit is designed with ergonomics in mind, enabling shoots that last all day. The cage can be used with the Panasonic DMW-XLR1 and DMW-XLR2 microphone adapters.

Expandability

Panasonic Lumix cameras reach their full potential when combined with an array of monitors, larger batteries, lens hoods, etc. This cage enables you to attach lots of optional gear, far more than you would otherwise be able to use with your camera (available separately). These optional items attach via the 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threading, the two NATO rails, and the two cold shoe mounts, as well as the QD port and strap slots.

The cage can also be used with the Panasonic DMW-XLR1 and DMW-XLR2 microphone adapters, and if a top handle is required, the SmallRig Top Lift Handle 3082 is compatible.

Secure Connections

The Arca-type quick release base holds your rig firmly in place when you need it, but doesn't cause a delay when you need to swap camera supports. A three-point anti-twist locking method, including a built-in magnetic camera key, keeps your lens pointed straight downrange.

Versatile Top Handle

Carry your camera, add accessories, and perform low-angle shots using this HawkLock H21 Quick Release Top Handle Kit from SmallRig. The handle uses a HawkLock clamp and a HawkLock quick release plate with an ARRI-style 3/8"-16 anti-twist thumbscrew to attach securely to your camera cage or rig. HawkLock rails feature notches that add mounting stability and smooth on/off sliding.

The handle mounts on the cage's HawkLock rail plate, which allows side-to-side sliding adjustment, secure locking, and quick release. This versatile handle sports two standard cold shoe mounts, as well as multiple 1/4"-20 anti-twist threads along the shaft. On each end, there are HawlLock-style male mounts for additional clamp accessories. The handle is constructed with durable aluminum and stainless steel components.
