Overview

The SWIT CREW Wireless Video Transmission System is a next-generation wireless video transmission system engineered for professional broadcasting, cinematic production, and live event coverage. Featuring KUWI 2.0 Pro wireless RF technology—NOT Wi-Fi—it delivers ultra-stable HD video over distances up to 1.2 km (4000 ft) line-of-sight. With 32ms consistent low latency, visually lossless H.265 compression, and flexible input/output support, the CREW system is optimized for high-end, real-time video workflows.

KUWI 2.0 Wireless Technology

Built around SWIT’s proprietary KUWI 2.0 Pro chip, the CREW system provides interference-resistant RF performance in license-free 5.1–5.9GHz DFS-compliant frequencies. Automatic channel scanning ensures optimal signal stability in crowded environments.

Long Range & Low Latency

With enhanced RF power and efficient video encoding, the CREW system achieves 1.2 km (4000 ft) wireless range in line-of-sight conditions. The 32ms latency is consistent and unaffected by environmental interference—ideal for wireless follow focus and synchronized multi-cam use.

Multicast Functionality

Supports 1 transmitter to 4 receivers multicast configuration with no compromise in range, latency, or image quality. All CREW family Tx/Rx units are fully cross-compatible for scalable production environments.

The USB-C port on the receiver enables direct 1080p50/60 livestreaming to PC or Mac—no drivers required. It also supports real-time wireless monitoring via smartphones and tablets using compatible USB camera apps.

Visually Lossless Video

Utilizing H.265 video encoding at up to 26.8 Mbps, the CREW system delivers visually lossless video performance that rivals direct cable transmission.

OLED Display & Configuration

Both transmitter and receiver include a 450-nit high-bright OLED display for status readout in sunlight. An onboard joystick allows easy access to pairing, channel control, fan toggling, firmware upgrades, and more.

Metadata & Timecode Support

CREW transmits SDI-embedded metadata, timecode, and start/stop trigger signals, enabling robust DIT workflows and accurate recording synchronization on multi-camera sets.

Encrypted & Secure Transmission

Dual encryption protects all video data: KUWI’s proprietary RF is paired with AES-256 encryption, ensuring signal security on sensitive film sets and broadcast environments.

Flexible Power Options

The CREW can be powered via NP-F battery, 2-pin LEMO DC input (using included D-tap cable), or USB-C, offering compatibility with a wide range of shooting setups.
