Overview

The SWIT CREW-V Wireless Video Transmission System with Dual Sided V-mount is a high-performance wireless video transmission system designed for professional broadcast and cinema applications. Featuring a dual-sided V-mount design, it delivers robust transmission over 1.2 km (4000 ft) line-of-sight using proprietary KUWI 2.0 RF technology, not Wi-Fi. With ultra-low latency, AES-256 encryption, and support for multiple power options, the CREW-V is optimized for demanding multicamera workflows.

Transmission Technology

Engineered with KUWI 2.0 Pro RF technology, the CREW-V system offers a stable and interference-resistant wireless connection within the 5.1–5.9GHz license-free DFS-compliant range. Automatic channel scanning ensures optimal signal clarity during operation.

Dual V-Mount Design

The CREW-V features a compact dual-sided V-mount design that attaches between the camera and V-mount battery, allowing for simultaneous power supply to both. Pass-through SMBus data pins ensure accurate battery status display on the camera.

Ultra-Low Latency & Video Quality

With consistent 32ms latency and H.265 encoding up to 26.8 Mbps, the CREW-V ensures visually lossless image quality. Its latency performance remains unaffected by environmental interference—ideal for wireless follow focus and synchronized multi-camera production.

Multicast Support

Supports 1 transmitter to up to 4 receivers with no loss in video quality, range, or latency. All Tx and Rx units in the CREW family are fully compatible for seamless multicast setups.

Equipped with a high-brightness 450-nit OLED screen on both Tx and Rx units, the CREW-V offers clear visibility in sunlight and simple navigation via joystick for pairing, channel selection, fan control, and firmware updates.

Camera Data Transmission

Transmits SDI-embedded metadata, timecode, and Start/Stop triggers wirelessly—supporting workflows like DIT livegrading and multi-cam sync without additional cabling.

Encryption & Security

The CREW-V combines KUWI's proprietary RF system with AES-256 encryption to ensure secure transmission, preventing signal interception on closed sets and critical productions.
