The Leica M-mount Thypoch Simera 28mm f/1.4 Type II Lens puts its bright, low-light-friendly optics into a sleek aluminum housing for high-quality imagery in a wide range of shooting scenarios. Its large aperture also enhances depth of field effects like bokeh and subject-background separation. Featuring a de-clickable aperture ring and a focus tab, the lens's manual focus design is both tactile and wieldy. The optical design features an extra-low dispersion element, two high-refractive index elements, and an aspherical element for clarity from the center to the edge of the frame. The Simera 28mm f/1.4 Type II version has been ergonomically designed with a comfortable focus tab, enabling smooth, single-finger focusing for seamless operation.

Low Chromatic Aberration

The Simera 28mm f/1.4 features an aspherical element and three high-refractive index elements to reduce color aberration and improve image quality.

Smooth Bokeh & Strong Low Light Performance

With the ability to capture at a bright f/1.4 aperture, high-quality imagery is assured even in unfavorable lighting conditions. The lens's 14-bladed diaphragm creates circular bokeh that provides a soft and pleasing frame to your subject, which is particularly useful for portraits. When capturing up-close subjects, a minimum focus of 40 cm is available.

Resistance Reminder

When turned to 0.7m, you'll feel a dampening to alert you that the lens focusing distance is about to exceed the limit of the camera body.

Retro Square Lens Hood

The Simera 28mm f/1.4 comes equipped with a retro-inspired, square lens hood that's anodized to prevent scratching. The threaded interior of the lens hood helps ensure sharper images by blocking out unwanted light.
