Overview

Add a bright, high-resolution monitor to control and view your cinema camera footage with the Atomos Shinobi 7 II 4K HDMI HDR Monitor with Camera Control. This 7" on-camera touchscreen combines a sharp 1920 x 1080 display with a punchy 2800 cd/m² of brightness, on-device calibration, and full HDMI I/O, and supports USB-C control for a wide range of compatible cameras. Running the latest AtomOS firmware, the Shinobi 7 II adds a full suite of on-screen analysis tools, making it a capable hub for exposure, focus, and colour work on set.

7" Daylight-Viewable Screen

The Shinobi 7 II's 7" IPS LCD panel delivers a 1920 x 1080 HDR image, illuminated by a bright 2800 cd/m² edge-lit LED backlight. That brightness makes it possible to view the screen clearly in daylight without needing a sun hood.

DCI/UHD 4K HDMI Input and Output

Monitor DCI or UHD 4K footage up to 4K30 via the HDMI 2.0 input, and output up to 4K30 via the HDMI 2.0 output, keeping the signal chain simple for on-camera monitoring or downstream recording.

USB-C Camera Control

A USB-C control port supports a wide range of cameras from Canon, FUJIFILM, Nikon, Panasonic, and Sony, letting you set focus point directly from the touchscreen and adjust key exposure settings without touching the camera body. Z CAM camera control is also supported, using a separately available USB-C to serial cable.

• Touch-to-focus directly from the monitor's screen.
• On-screen sliders for white balance, lens aperture, shutter speed/angle, and ISO.
• Shutter-release function to trigger stills from the touchscreen, useful for HDR bracketing and focus stacking.
• A red on-screen border shows when the feed is recording internally, and whether it was triggered by the monitor or the camera.

HDR Monitoring for Log Footage

The Shinobi 7 II can monitor up to ten stops of dynamic range from a camera's Log image, helping you accurately assess and capture scenes with a wider dynamic range than a conventional monitor allows, ideal for productions that demand extra detail and contrast.

Audio Monitoring

Embedded audio can be input and output via HDMI, or via the 3.5mm analog input and output, for both embedding audio and convenient on-set audio monitoring.

On-Device Calibration

The USB-C control port also supports display calibration using a separately available probe, without needing to plug the monitor into a computer. Every screen ships colour-calibrated from the factory, so it's accurate out of the box.

Flexible Power Options

A centred L-series battery slot on the back of the monitor is joined by a 36W USB-C PD power input, so the Shinobi 7 II can run from a camera battery or from USB-C power. It can also be powered via a separately available L-series battery eliminator connected to an external power source.

3D LUT Management via SD Card

An SD card slot lets you load custom 3D LUTs and apply them to both input and output signals, and the same slot handles firmware updates.
