Overview
The Aputure MC RGBWW LED Light is a palm-size multifunction light measuring just 9.3 x 6.1 x 1.7cm, mounted via a 1/4"-20 thread or attached to metal surfaces with its built-in magnets. Part of Aputure's M-series of lights, it combines RGB LEDs with tungsten- and daylight-balanced LEDs, offering 360-degree hue control and up to 95% of the BT 2020 color gamut in a compact form factor suited to run-and-gun and on-set use.
The light packs nine built-in special effects and can be controlled with its native buttons, control wheel, and small OLED display, or remotely using the companion Aputure Sidus Link app for iOS and Android, making it equally useful as a standalone accent light or as part of a larger networked lighting setup.
360-Degree Hue Control with 96 CRI
Color temperature is adjustable from 3200 to 6500K in 100-degree increments, with 96 CRI and 97 TLCI for accurate color rendering. Full 360-degree hue control, 100 levels of color saturation adjustment, and both HSI and CCT settings give precise control over color output, alongside 100 to 0% brightness control.
Nine Built-In Special Effects
Select from nine digital special effects, such as Fireworks and Lightning, to creatively enhance a shot at no additional cost. The Cop Car effect produces a siren-like flash pattern, Paparazzi looks like a bunch of camera flashes going off at once, and TV gives the impression of a television playing somewhere in the scene.
Sidus Link App and Mesh Control
- The free Aputure Sidus Link app for iOS and Android controls up to 100 MC RGBWW LED units at once in a "Sidus Mesh" network extending up to 400m, with up to 80m between individual fixtures.
- Adjust HSI, CCT, FX, and other settings remotely from the app.
- A Color Picker function lets you point your smartphone's camera at a color and capture it, with the light reproducing that color instantly.
USB-C and Wireless Charging
A built-in battery provides up to two hours of runtime at maximum brightness, and supports USB-C PD quick-charging as well as the Qi wireless charging protocol for compatibility with most wireless chargers.
Magnetic and Threaded Mounting
A 1/4"-20 thread and built-in mounting magnets let the light attach to a stand, rig, or any suitable metal surface, adding flexibility for quick setup in tight spaces.
