Nanlite Halo 16C Overview

The Halo 16C Bi-Color Tunable RGB 16" LED Ring Light from NanLite is part of a series of LED ring lights that are well-suited for beauty lighting, vlogging, selfies, hair dressing, makeup application, and portrait photography, and more. However you use it, the 16" ring light offers your images the signature attractive, soft, near-shadowless light quality with interesting ring-shaped catchlights, which is the hallmark of this fixture's shape. The effect is especially pronounced when shooting through its open center with your smartphone (via the included adapter) or DSLR.

The light is dimmable from 0 to 100% to save you the trouble of jockeying it back and forth to achieve the correct light intensity. Color is variable too, from 2700 to 6500K or anywhere in between to match other fixtures, ambient light conditions, or just for creative expression. The Halo 16C has a high CRI of 95 and a TLCI of 93, indicating high accuracy in color rendition. An advanced feature of the ring light is RGB color control, which allows you to create custom hues from a 360-degree color wheel. The Halo 16C has a 5/8" receiver for stand mounting and comes with a smartphone bracket and an AC adapter. The light's Power Passthrough feature allows you to use the built-in USB port to keep smartphones and other devices charged while shooting.
