Overview

The NANLITE Para 120 Quick-Open Softbox is a 120cm, 16-sided parabolic light shaper with a Bowens S mount, designed for portrait and fashion photography that calls for soft, focused light with a punchy, crisp edge. Its reflective silver interior maximizes output while a removable front diffuser softens contrast, and the parabolic shape's depth produces natural-looking catchlights along with strong directional control and minimal spill light.

Two front diffusers, rated at 1-stop and 2-stop, can be used alone, together, or removed entirely for a harder, high-contrast look straight off the reflective interior. The included Bowens-style speed ring is compatible with Nanlite's Forza Series LEDs and a wide range of other LED, strobe, and constant light sources, and a quick-open speed ring with spring-loaded rod locks allows the softbox to be set up or broken down in moments. An optional fabric grid, sold separately, can narrow the beam angle to 60 degrees for tighter control over spill.

Multiple Diffusion Options

The 1-stop and 2-stop front diffusers can be combined, used one at a time, or left off entirely, giving control over contrast and light quality to suit the shot.

Fast Setup and Breakdown

A quick-open speed ring with spring-loaded rod locks lets you snap the rods into place to set up the softbox, then release them at the touch of a button to break it down.

Compatible with Fabric Grids

An optional fabric grid, sold separately, mounts via touch-fasteners and narrows the beam angle to 60 degrees, concentrating the light's throw forward for tighter directional control.
