40.2MP Sensor and X-Processor 5

The 40.2MP X-Trans CMOS 5 HR sensor and X-Processor 5 imaging engine allow a lower base ISO of 125 for reduced grain and improved low-light performance, while the integrated deep-learning AI identifies a wider range of subjects for autofocus. A built-in teleconverter offers 1.4x and 2.0x digital zoom settings for getting closer to distant subjects, and native sensitivity of ISO 125 to 12,800 expands to 64-51,200 in photo mode and 64-25,600 in video mode.

Versatile Stills and Video Capture

Stills are captured in Raw 14-bit, HEIF 4:2:2 10-bit, TIFF 8-bit and JPEG at maximum resolutions of 7728 x 5152 (3:2), 7728 x 4344 (16:9) and 5152 x 5152 (1:1), with minimum shutter speeds of 1/4000 mechanical and 1/180,000 electronic. Uncompressed Raw burst shooting reaches up to 20 fps with a 1.29x crop, and long exposure runs up to 1 hour in bulb mode or 15 minutes in other photo modes. On the video side, the X-E5 records up to 6.2K at 29.97 fps, 4K at 59.94 fps and Full HD at up to 240 fps in H.265 and H.264 Long GOP formats at bitrates up to 200 Mb/s.

Customizable Film Simulation Dial

A physical dial next to the viewfinder gives instant access to FUJIFILM's Film Simulation modes, with the active setting visible through a window in the aluminum top plate. The X-E5 includes 20 Film Simulation modes, including PROVIA, Velvia, Classic Chrome, REALA ACE, Nostalgic Neg., ETERNA and several black-and-white variants, plus three user-assignable slots for saving custom recipes.

Five-Axis In-Body Stabilization
