Godox MA2 Flexible Macro Twin Light

Overview

The Godox MA2 Flexible Macro Twin Light is a dual-arm LED and flash lighting solution built for close-up and macro photography, letting you position two independent light sources on either side of your subject for even, controllable illumination. Each of its two flexible arms ends in a hot shoe mount that accepts optional Godox mini flashes such as the iM20, iM22, iT22, and iT20, so the MA2 can work purely as a continuous LED light, purely as flash, or as a combination of both. With a built-in rechargeable battery, adjustable color temperature, and an included magnetic diffuser, it is a compact, self-contained lighting kit for photographers and videographers shooting flowers, insects, product details, and other small subjects.

Dual Flexible Arm Positioning

The MA2's dual flexible arms let you position light from either side of your subject, and each arm's hot shoe mount supports an optional Godox mini flash for expanded, multi-light macro setups even at low angles. At just 340g and with each arm rated to support up to 85g, the MA2 stays lightweight and easy to handle, and the arms fold down into a compact shape for storage and transport.

Flash and LED Light Modes

In flash mode, the MA2 supports S1/S2 photocell triggering for manual flash and TTL setups with pre-flash, with an LED modeling light so you can preview the flash output before shooting. In LED mode, brightness is adjustable from 1 to 100% with color temperature adjustable from 2800 to 6500K, giving you flexible video fill, focus assist, or warm-to-cool lighting control.

Built-In USB-C Rechargeable Battery

An integrated 3300mAh battery powers the MA2 for up to 3.3 hours at 100% brightness, and recharges in around 2.6 hours using the included USB-C charging cable, keeping outdoor close-up shoots simple and self-contained.

Magnetic Diffuser Panel

The included MA02-D magnetic diffuser attaches via a magnetic base and snap fasteners for quick mounting and removal, and can be folded up or down or gently pressed at the edges to shape the panel. It softens light output, reduces harsh highlights, and creates smoother shadows on reflective or textured subjects.

Compatibility:

• Works with the separately available 2.5x MCL-250 macro conversion lens, fitting 49 to 67mm filter threads, and its MCL-D conversion lens diffuser.
• Compatible with the separately available MA02-BD diffuser box for softer close-up lighting.

Color Accuracy and Power Input

Color accuracy is rated at a high CRI of 96 and TLCI of 97, and the MA2 charges via a 5V, 3A USB-C input.
