Simple Exposure Calculator Dial

Instead of digital menus, the Lux Junior uses a straightforward analogue dial that lines up ISO, aperture, and shooting distance. Set your ISO and required distance and the dial shows the corresponding aperture and power level, for example lining up f/4 and 1/8 power at 1.5m for ISO 400. An Auto Mode is also available, defaulting to f/2.8 at ISO 100 for quick, no-fuss shooting.

Auto and Optical Slave Flash Modes

Beyond full manual control, the flash includes an Optical Mode with S1 and S2 slave settings for off-camera triggering. In S1 mode the flash fires in response to another manual or TTL flash, while S2 mode ignores that initial pre-flash so it can be used alongside cameras or flashes that fire a metering pre-flash. Seven manual output levels from 1/1 to 1/64 give fine control over power, and the flash runs on two AAA batteries (sold separately).
