Overview

The Hollyland Pyro 5 4K Wireless Transceiver Monitor lets you transmit, receive, and monitor high quality wireless video from up to 400m away. It builds on the original Pyro 5 with 4K30 transmission resolutions and camera control, while keeping the same bright 5.5" touchscreen display, built-in L-series battery plate, SD card recording, HDMI/SDI input and output, and RTMP streaming. The unit switches freely between transmitter and receiver modes, making it equally useful for camera-side monitoring or as a client display for directors and other crew.

Dual-Band Frequency Hopping

Auto Dual-Band Hopping (ADH) and Auto Frequency Hopping (AFH) work together across the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands to automatically select the clearest channel, reducing interference and signal congestion. Omnidirectional high-gain antennas keep signals stable in every direction, and Smart Channel Selection lets you manually scan and switch frequencies using onscreen signal strength indicators.

Direct and Broadcast Transmission Modes

• Direct mode connects one transmitter to up to two receivers and two mobile devices over a stable line-of-sight range of up to 396m.
• Broadcast mode extends this to up to four receivers at a range of up to 200m.

Camera Control From the Touchscreen

With a compatible Sony camera and a separately available connector cable, you can adjust ISO, aperture, shutter speed, white balance, and focus mode directly from the touchscreen, and trigger autofocus with a single tap.

Transmitter and Receiver I/O

• In transmitter mode: HDMI input, SDI input, and HDMI loop output.
• In receiver mode: HDMI output.

Multicam Switching and Lock Pairing

Group multiple Pyro series units together and switch monitoring between two cameras instantly using two customisable buttons. When several Pyro systems are running at once, Lock Pairing keeps each receiver locked to its original transmitter so signals never cross.

Long-Range HD and Smooth Modes

Dual-band 2.4/5 GHz transmission delivers a stable line-of-sight range of up to 400m with latency as low as 60 ms. HD mode holds a steady 12 Mb/s bit rate at 75 ms latency, while Smooth mode dynamically adjusts bit rate for the lowest latency over longer distances.

RTMP Streaming and SD Card Recording

Built-in RTMP streaming sends video straight to platforms like Zoom, YouTube Live, Twitch, and TikTok Live. The SD card slot records up to 40 minutes of MP4 video per session, supports custom LUT application on export, and can import footage or on-set screenshots to overlay onto the current recording screen for scene reference.

Efficient Proxy Recording

Proxy files record directly to the SD card while monitoring in real time, automatically organised into folders and embedded with timecode so they sync straight to your camera footage for fast, accurate editing.
