Overview

The Hollyland Pyro 7 Ultra 7" Wireless Transceiver Monitor is a broadcast-quality on-set monitor that can switch between transmitter and receiver modes, giving directors, DPs, and camera crews a flexible way to view and share video wirelessly. It pairs a bright 7" QD touchscreen with wireless transmission of up to 1km, HDMI and 3G-SDI input/output, an SD card slot supporting up to 2TB of recording, and a built-in V-mount battery plate for all-day location use. A single transmitter can send video to up to two apps and four receivers, or an unlimited number of receivers when Broadcast mode is active, making it suited to multicamera productions that need reliable, long-range image references at every position.

Long-Range Wireless Transmission

Using 2.4 and 5 GHz dual-band technology with Auto Dual-Band Hopping (ADH) and Auto Frequency Hopping (AFH), the Pyro 7 Ultra maintains a stable line-of-sight transmission range of up to 1km with as little as 20ms of latency in focus-pulling mode. These hopping technologies automatically select the clearest available channel to avoid signal interference, low transmission efficiency, and frequency congestion, while omnidirectional high-gain antennas help keep the signal stable in every direction. The monitor is also compatible with other Pyro models, so multiple units can be combined into one flexible wireless ecosystem.

Broadcast Mode for Multiple Receivers

In standard operation, one transmitter connects to up to two apps or four receivers with a stable, line-of-sight signal. Switching on Broadcast mode removes that limit, letting a single transmitter send to an unlimited number of receivers at once, which suits larger productions where several stations need the same feed.

Ultrabright QD Touchscreen

The 7" QD-LCD touchscreen combines high color accuracy with an ultrahigh brightness of 1500 cd/m², keeping the image clear and readable whether you're shooting in bright sunlight or a dim interior. The interface supports swipe gestures to switch between function templates and two-finger touch zoom of up to 4x for checking focus and detail on the fly.

Transmitter and Receiver I/O

A single switch changes the Pyro 7 Ultra between transmitter and receiver roles. In transmitter mode it offers one HDMI input, one 3G-SDI input, one HDMI loop output, and one 3G-SDI loop output; in receiver mode it switches to one 3G-SDI output, one HDMI output, and one 3G-SDI loop output.

RTMP Streaming and Camera Control

• Built-in RTMP streaming sends video directly to platforms like Zoom, YouTube Live, Twitch, and TikTok Live.
• Camera control functions are supported with select Canon, Nikon, Sony, and other brand cameras.
• Seamless integration with Tilta focus ecosystems supports connected follow-focus workflows.

SD Card Recording and Import

An SD card slot supports extended recording to cards up to 2TB, with the option to apply custom LUTs during video export. The monitor supports file organisation for a streamlined editing workflow, and footage or screenshots from external devices can be imported and overlaid on the current recording screen for scene restoration or replication.

Professional Monitoring Tools

Two customisable shortcut keys give quick access to dual-view monitoring or to professional image analysis tools such as waveform, exposure, recording, and focus assist. A three-tier interface design lets you arrange these functions across up to seven template sets, alongside on-screen display parameters, auxiliary video analysis, and video playback.
