Overview

The Kondor Blue Mini Lock Quick Release System (Blue) provides a compact, secure, and highly versatile solution for quickly mounting and unmounting accessories such as magic arms, monitors, microphones, and other rig components. Designed for streamlined camera builds, this updated Mini Lock system is smaller and lighter than previous versions while maintaining compatibility with earlier Mini Quick Release plates and ecosystem accessories.

The system includes a female base receiver and a quick release plate that lock together via an adjustable quick release lever. Precision tolerances and an integrated nylon-tipped M4 set screw ensure a tight, play-free connection without damaging the mounting surface.

Design & Compatibility

The Mini Lock design improves on earlier mini quick release systems with a smaller footprint and enhanced functionality. It remains compatible with original Mini Quick Release male plates, anti-twist cradles, and other ecosystem accessories, making it ideal for expanding or upgrading an existing rig.

The plate features a female ARRI-style mount and a male 1/4"-20 ARRI-style mount with removable 3 mm pins that can be stored directly within the plate. Both the plate and receiver offer 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 receiving threads, enabling flexible mounting to cages, arms, and other support gear.

Secure Locking Mechanism

Achieving tight tolerances is essential for such a compact quick release system. The Mini Lock features a safety latch that remains fixed when open and incorporates an integrated M4 nylon-tipped set screw. Using the included 2 mm hex wrench, users can fine-tune the plate-to-plate fit to remove any unwanted movement.

The nylon tip glides smoothly against the male plate surface to eliminate play while preventing scratches or surface damage, ensuring long-term reliability in demanding production environments.
