Overview

The Metabones T CINE Speed Booster ULTRA 0.71x II lets a full-frame Canon EF lens work on an APS-C FUJIFILM X camera while keeping an angle of view close to full-frame. The optics inside condense the light from the lens onto the smaller sensor, which lowers the crop factor from 1.5x to about 1.07x and adds roughly one stop of aperture.

A 50mm f/1.2 lens behaves like a 35.5mm f/0.9 lens through this adapter, with the wider view and extra light you would expect from a faster, shorter lens. The one-stop gain helps in low light and makes shallow depth of field easier to reach, and wide-angle lenses stay genuinely wide on the smaller sensor.
