Metabones Speed Booster ULTRA Lens Mount Adapter for Canon FD Lens to FUJIFILM X Camera

Overview

The Metabones Speed Booster ULTRA mounts full-frame Canon FD lenses on an APS-C FUJIFILM X camera and gives close to a full-frame view. A five-element, four-group tantalum glass design condenses the light from the lens onto the smaller sensor, widening the angle of view by 0.71x and adding about one stop of aperture. It is a manual adapter, so automatic aperture and metering are not kept.

Full-Frame Look on APS-C

Mounting a full-frame lens on an APS-C body normally narrows its view. The Speed Booster brings the crop factor from 1.5x to about 1.07x, so you get a full-frame style angle of view, and the extra stop helps in low light and for shallow depth of field. A 50mm f/1.2 lens behaves like a 35.5mm f/0.9.

• Correct registration distance for infinity focus, including CRC lenses and lenses with floating elements
• Precision-machined, chrome-plated brass on both sides for a smooth, snug fit with no play
• Matte-black interior to keep reflections down, and a black satin exterior that matches most bodies
• Detachable foot for Arca-Type, Markins and Photo Clam ball heads, with a 1/4"-20 screw
• Two hex keys included: one removes the foot and the other tightens a mounting screw
