New Sensor and Processing Engine

An upgraded full-frame 24.2MP CMOS sensor and updated processing engine with L2 technology bring a newly-developed Phase Hybrid AF system, a first for LUMIX cameras, with 779 phase-detection points for significantly improved subject tracking. A native ISO 100-51200 range expands to ISO 50-204800, full-resolution shooting reaches up to 9 fps with the mechanical shutter and up to 30 fps with the electronic shutter, and a High Resolution mode compiles eight exposures into a single 96MP raw or JPEG file for static and tripod-based subjects.

6K and 4K Video Recording

Full-frame 6K30p recording with 4:2:0 10-bit colour runs for up to 30 minutes, while unlimited DCI/UHD 4K60p 4:2:2 10-bit recording and 120p slow-motion capture round out the video feature set. V-Log comes pre-installed for roughly 14+ stops of dynamic range, and Dual Native ISO circuitry balances low noise and high sensitivity across normal, V-Log, HLG and Cinelike D2/V2 profiles.

Phase Hybrid AF with Dual I.S. 2

779 phase-detection points give fast, dependable autofocus that tracks subjects through backlit, low-light and multi-person scenes in both stills and video. A Dual I.S. 2 stabilization system compensates for approximately 6.5 stops of camera shake for sharp handheld photography, and a dedicated Active I.S. mode further steadies footage while walking and recording video.

Body Design and Connectivity

• The L-Mount Alliance lens mount works with a broad range of optics, including classic and modern anamorphic lenses.
• A 3.68m-dot OLED EVF with 0.78x magnification pairs with a 3.0" 1.84m-dot free-angle touchscreen and an 8-direction joystick.

Panasonic LUMIX S 28-200mm f/4-7.1 MACRO O.I.S. Lens

Superb zoom range with uncompromising mobility, the Panasonic LUMIX S 28-200mm f/4-7.1 MACRO O.I.S. Lens is the first wide-to-tele zoom added to the S-series lineup, letting photographers move between landscapes and portraits without switching lenses. Built-in 5-axis image stabilization provides up to 6.5 stops of correction, one aspherical element and four ED elements uphold image quality, and a 9-bladed circular diaphragm creates flattering, round bokeh. A fluorine coating on the front element resists oil and water, and two barrel switches handle AF/MF and image stabilization toggling. Among the smallest and lightest lenses in its class, it measures just 9.3 cm in length, focuses as close as 14 cm for 0.5x magnification at 28mm, uses a 67mm filter thread, and is dust- and splash-resistant.
