Here, it's paired with the Nikon NIKKOR Z 40mm f/2 (SE), a Special Edition version of the 40mm f/2 with a retro-inspired design, checked knurling and a vintage NIKKOR logo reminiscent of classic Nikon FM-series film cameras, giving the Z5 IIC a compact everyday lens with real character to match its own understated body.

Full-Frame Imaging with EXPEED 7 Processing

A full-frame, FX-format 24.5MP BSI CMOS sensor pairs with an EXPEED 7 image processor to deliver a versatile mix of high-resolution stills, responsive AI-powered autofocus and full-resolution continuous shooting at up to 30 fps. At native values, sensitivity runs from ISO 100 to 64,000, and can be expanded to ISO 50 to 204,800 for extreme lighting conditions, giving the Z5 IIC's full-frame sensor a real edge in depth of field, low-light performance and overall image quality over comparable travel-sized cameras with smaller sensors.

AI-Powered Subject Detection Autofocus

Pre-Release Capture

5-Axis Sensor-Shift Stabilization

A 5-axis sensor-shift Vibration Reduction mechanism compensates for up to five stops of camera shake on its own, and up to 7.5 stops with compatible lenses, helping produce sharp images for handheld long exposures, concert photography, slow shutter action and more. The NIKKOR Z 40mm f/2 (SE) shares the same optical formula and bright f/2 maximum aperture as the standard 40mm f/2, straddling wide-angle and normal fields of view for everyday, walkaround and portrait shooting on full-frame or DX-format bodies. This Special Edition version adds a retro-inspired design, with checked knurling on the lens body, a contrasting silver band, and a vintage NIKKOR logo and typeface that echoes lenses from classic Nikon FM-series film cameras.
