Based on Peak Design’s full-featured original Packing Cubes, the Ultralight series is stripped down to the essentials: a single volume with a single zip for access, providing intuitive packing and quick retrieval of your gear.

Weatherproof Construction

The Ultralight Fabric Packing Cube is built with proprietary Terra Shell™ 50D material that is both highly weatherproof and durable. Combined face and back coatings, along with internally taped seams, help ensure that contents stay dry in challenging conditions.

A weatherproof #5 UltraZip™, crafted from proprietary abrasion-resistant thread, is designed to last for decades of use, making this cube a reliable choice for long-term travel and outdoor adventures.

Materials & Sustainability

The Ultralight Terra Shell™ 50D exterior fabric is 100% recycled and Bluesign approved, supporting more responsible material sourcing. A PFAS-free water-repellant treatment offers a more eco-friendly alternative to standard DWR finishes.

For select colourways (Cloud), the fabric is solution-dyed to significantly reduce water usage in the dyeing process. The super-durable #5 weatherproof UltraZip with abrasion-resistant UHMPE thread provides long-lasting closure performance to complement the robust fabric.

Modular Carry & Sling Conversion

Both styles of Ultralight packing cubes can be converted into an ultralight sling bag by attaching the Flat Hook Carry Strap or a Peak Design camera strap (sold separately) to the Cord Hook™ external loops. These loops also act as counter pulls for smoother opening and closing of the zip.

External carry strap pass-throughs allow you to mount the cube on the outside of compatible Peak Design bags, adding a new level of modular organisation and hands-free carry when travelling.

Packability & Storage

When not in use, the Ultralight Packing Cube folds totally flat and can be rolled up and cinched with the elastic zip pull cord. This ultra-packable design makes it easy to keep a few cubes on hand in your bag or pocket for spontaneous organisation needs.
