PolarPro 86mm Coarse McKinnon 135 Series Black Mist Filter (Grade 1/4)

Overview

The PolarPro 86mm Coarse McKinnon 135 Series Black Mist Filter (Grade 1/4) softens details and lowers contrast for a cinematic, film-like look. It blooms highlights subtly while keeping clarity, which flatters portraits by smoothing skin tones and taking the edge off digital sharpness. It takes its cue from classic film stocks and adds depth to photos and video.

German Chroma glass keeps the optics precise while it adds a gentle haze, and the weather-sealed aluminium frame protects it from the elements. Its vintage film-reel-inspired canister case adds a nostalgic touch. A Sunny 16 rule cheat sheet built into the case gives quick exposure guidance. With 90% light transmission and 1/4 diffusion strength it keeps colour accurate with no unwanted casts. It screws onto lenses with a 86mm Coarse filter thread. The coating resists fingerprints and scratches.
