RED's Ultracompact Global Shutter Cinema Camera

The RED DIGITAL CINEMA KOMODO 6K is an ultracompact all-in-one digital cinema camera weighing just 1kg, built around a Canon RF lens mount and a 19.9MP Super35 CMOS sensor. Its Global Shutter technology eliminates rolling shutter artifacts entirely and delivers over 16 stops of dynamic range, making it a capable option for handheld and gimbal work where a full cinema rig isn't practical.

6K REDCODE RAW Recording

Internal recording covers up to 6K at 40fps, 5K at 48fps, 4K at 60fps, and 2K at 120fps in 16-bit REDCODE RAW, with HQ, MQ, and LQ compression options for balancing quality against storage. Apple ProRes 422 HQ and 422 are also supported at DCI 4K and 2K resolutions, all written to a single CFast 2.0 card slot rated for data rates up to 280 MB/s.

EF-Mount Lens Compatibility

The Canon RF mount supports Phase-Detect Autofocus with compatible electronically-communicating EF-mount lenses via an optional adapter, extending the camera's lens options beyond native RF glass for productions that need to draw on existing EF lens collections.

Onboard Monitoring and Wireless Control

  • Fixed 2.9" 1440x1440 touchscreen for on-camera configuration and monitoring.
