Overview

The RED DIGITAL CINEMA V-RAPTOR [X] Upgrade Kit lets existing V-RAPTOR 8K VV or V-RAPTOR 8K S35 camera owners bring their camera up to V-RAPTOR [X] performance. Rather than swapping in a new sensor board alone, this system-wide upgrade path unlocks the full Global Vision suite, including Extended Highlights and Phantom Track dual capture, for identical capability to a brand new V-RAPTOR [X] body.

Compatible Camera Bodies

• Existing V-RAPTOR 8K VV camera owners.
• Existing V-RAPTOR 8K S35 camera owners.

System-Wide Component Upgrade

This is a comprehensive internal upgrade, not just a new sensor board. It replaces the sensor and multiple other components inside the camera to bring performance up to the identical level of the V-RAPTOR [X], including a global shutter 8K VV sensor, a redesigned opto-mechanical sensor cavity for improved contrast, updated processing, and improved audio performance.
