Samyang's Wide-Angle Manual Focus Prime
The Samyang XP 14mm f/2.4 is a super wide-angle prime lens for Canon EF-mount full-frame DSLRs, pairing an intuitive manual focus design with a sophisticated optical build. It's well suited to landscape, architecture and astrophotography, where a wide field of view and strong corner-to-corner sharpness matter most.
Sharp, Colour-Accurate Optics
A complex optical design of 18 elements in 14 groups includes two aspherical elements, one hybrid aspherical element, two extra-low dispersion elements and three high refractive index elements, combining to reduce spherical and chromatic aberrations and colour fringing while improving sharpness, clarity and colour accuracy.
Reduced Flare in Bright Light
An Ultra Multi-Coating applied to individual elements minimises ghosting and flare for greater contrast and colour neutrality when shooting into strong light, while the built-in petal-shaped lens hood blocks stray light from reaching the front element and offers some physical protection against light impacts.
Precise Manual Focus Control
The manual focus design permits working with subjects as close as 28cm away, giving precise control for deliberate, considered composition.
Durable, Lightweight Housing
An aluminium-alloy housing keeps the lens both durable and lightweight, supporting use across a variety of shooting conditions.
Compatibility:
Designed for full-frame Canon EF-mount DSLRs, this lens can also be used on APS-C Canon EF-mount bodies, where it provides a 22.4mm full-frame equivalent focal length.
