Samyang AF 60-180mm f/2.8 Lens (Sony E)

Overview

The Samyang AF 60-180mm f/2.8 Lens is a full-frame telephoto zoom built for the Sony E system, covering a versatile 60 to 180mm range with a constant f/2.8 maximum aperture throughout the zoom. That constant aperture keeps exposure consistent as you zoom and delivers smooth background blur for portraits, while the reach and speed also suit wildlife, events, and everyday shooting. A minimum focus distance as close as 35cm lets you capture fine close-up detail on products and plants, and autofocus is handled quickly through the lens's AF system, with a responsive manual focus ring and AF/MF switch on hand whenever precise manual control is preferred.

Weather-sealed to resist dust and light rain, the lens weighs just 730g and measures 14.9cm long, making it easy to carry all day for travel and location work despite its telephoto reach. Nine rounded aperture blades produce smooth, natural background blur, while UMC multicoating on the front element protects against water and dust and helps maintain clear, contrast-rich images. A USB-C port allows quick firmware updates, and a programmable control button gives fast access to camera functions without taking your eye from the viewfinder.

Constant f/2.8 Aperture Blur

A constant f/2.8 aperture across the entire 60 to 180mm zoom range keeps exposure steady as you zoom and produces smooth, creamy background blur throughout, so portraits and detail shots keep their character whether you're at the wide or long end.

Smooth 9-Blade Bokeh

A 9-blade diaphragm rounds out background blur for a smooth, natural focus falloff, helping subjects stand out from softly rendered backgrounds.

Weather-Sealed Build

The lens is weather-sealed against dust and light rain, so you can keep shooting through changing conditions without pausing to protect your gear.

AF/MF Switching With Manual Focus Ring

An AF/MF switch lets you move quickly between autofocus and precise manual focus, with a responsive focus ring on hand whenever you want to dial in focus by hand.
