Overview

The Samyang XP 10mm f/3.5 Lens for Canon EF is an ultra-wide-angle prime designed for full-frame Canon EF-mount DSLRs, and it can also be used on APS-C bodies where it delivers a 16mm equivalent focal length. Offering an extremely wide angle of view with minimal distortion, it is well suited to landscape, interior and architectural photography where an expansive perspective and clean, accurate rendering matter. This is a manual focus lens with an aluminum alloy housing that keeps it lightweight and durable for regular field use.

An advanced 18-element, 11-group optical design combines three aspherical elements, one high refractive index element and three extra-low dispersion elements to control spherical and chromatic aberrations, distortion and color fringing while improving sharpness, clarity and color accuracy. An Ultra Multi-Coating is applied across individual elements to suppress ghosting and flare, improving contrast and color neutrality when shooting in bright or backlit conditions. A built-in petal-shaped lens hood blocks stray light from reaching the front element and offers some physical protection for the glass.

Aspherical and ED Glass Optical Design
