Core SWX CXV-TA-VRAP Overview

The Gold mount Sharkfin Battery Plate from Core SWX enables you to continuously power any camera with a Gold mount battery plate, such as the RED V-RAPTOR cinema camera, using two Gold mount batteries. The sharkfin design mounts two batteries side by side, enabling you to remove a depleted battery while leaving the remaining battery connected, resulting in no camera downtime. This plate incorporates two D-Tap output ports for powering accessories.

The batteries can power the camera by discharging at the same time, or you can choose to discharge them one at a time and use the hot swap function. Since the ports on some cameras such as the RED V-RAPTOR are on the back, to prevent blocking them, the plate can slide away from the back of the camera to make room for your cables to plug in. Each D-Tap and power output to the camera is unregulated 11 to 17 VDC.

The adapter is compatible with any camera with a Gold mount battery mount, such as the RED RAPTOR cinema camera.

Sliding Design
The system allows you to slide out the right side of the mounting plate to accommodate any size Gold mount battery so it doesn't block the inputs and outputs of the camera. It locks in place with a set screw.
